The most outstanding achievements of the department scientists:
Getting the grant of the President of Ukraine for gifted youth for the project “Intelligent Systems for Energy Saving of Dwelling Houses” (2008);
Getting the scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for young scientists (2008);
The victory in the competition for receiving financial support for research work of students and postgraduates of NTUU “KPI” in 2007-2008 for the project “Algorithm of predictive control of the movement of the electronic platform based on the use of functions with the m-argument”;
Students-laureates of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine for students of higher educational institutions for work “Use of power lines for controlling loads of a local object” (2009);
The victory in the competition of NTUU “KPI” “Young teacher-researcher-2009”;
Getting an individual scholarship of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine for the most talented young scientists in 2010 by a department member;

Participation in: competition for the annual grants of the President of Ukraine to the Doctors of Science for carrying out scientific research – the project “Energy supply of objects with alternative energy sources based on the latest resource-saving technologies of power electronics”; the competition for scientific research “State Agency for Science, Innovation and Informatization of Ukraine – Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Republic of Poland” for 2012-2013 – project “Energy efficient management of electric energy consumption in a local facility with regenerative and alternative sources”; Ukrainian competition of innovative projects SOLUTION-2011 on the technological direction “Energy saving technologies, alternative energy sources” – the project “Creation of the electronic platform of the Ukrainian micro-satellite for information and telecommunication support of multi-purpose space research”; the competition for scientific and technical projects on the development of the most important newest technologies under the state order for 2011-2012 – the project “Creation of the electronic platform of the Ukrainian micro-satellite for information and telecommunication support of multi-purpose space research”; competition for fundamental research at the expense of the general fund of the state budget – the project “Development of scientific principles for the construction of multi-level voltage inverters for alternative power supplies in the Smart Grid system”;
Getting the medal and personal diploma at the IV National Exhibition-Presentation “Innovation in Modern Education 2012” by a department member.

Involvement of gifted student youth in the scientific work:
Students have prepared and applied for participation in: a competition for scholarship under the Victor Pinchuk Foundation’s scholarship program (2010-2011); Contest of the Institute of Strategic Assessments at the Presidential Fund Leonid Kuchma “Ukraine” for the best scientific work on the topic “Make Ukraine energy-saving” (2010); competition for a mini-grant from the International Society of IEEE; competition of scientific articles of the International Society of IEEE – REGION 8 STUDENT PAPER CONTEST 2012; Ukrainian competition of student’s scientific works on natural sciences, technical sciences and humanities in 2011/2012 academic year;
Students of the department took part in the following Olympiads: The first round of the Ukrainian Olympiad on TOE; Second round of the Ukrainian Olympiad on the academic discipline: “Programming of microprogram automatic machines and microcontroller systems”; Part-time tour of the Ukrainian Olympiad on academic discipline: “Programming of microprogram automatic machines and microcontroller systems”; Olympiad “CHP-2010”, “CHP-2011” at the NTUU “KPI” Electronics Faculty;
The scientific work of the master of the department was awarded the acknowledgement of the rector of the NTUU “KPI”;
Graduate Certificate of the Department of Honorary Award (breastplate) of the 2nd degree “For Conscientious Work” of the Ministry of Economy of Ukraine – for many years of diligent work related to the implementation of economic policy.
