Valerii Zhuikov born in 1945, DrS, Professor, Dean (from 2003) of Faculty of Electronics .
Formed a new research areas: 1) the theory of numerical and analytical and topological methods of analysis processes and synthesis schemes converters of electricity from variable structure; 2) proactive control valve converters; 3) the chaotic processes in power electronics systems.
He is the author and co-author of 423 scientific and methodical works, including 19 monographs, 34 textbooks, 11 manuals, 65 patents. For achievements in scientific work V. Zhuikov in 1981, 1984, 1987 awarded diplomas of the Ministry of Higher and Secondary Special Education of the USSR, and in 2001 from the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine “For scientific achievements”. In 1989 he was awarded the sign “Inventor of the USSR”. Awarded diplomas of the second degree “KPI”: in 2003. – For the monograph; 2005. – In the manual; 2011. – In tutorial. In 1979 V.Ya.Zhuykova Medal of the Academy of Sciences of the Prize for Young Scientists, and in 2002, Lebedev Prize for the series of works “Elements of the theory and methods of construction of semiconductor and solid state transformers of electric power. Since 2008. – Honored Worker of Science of Ukraine.
Professor V. Zhuikov a scientific school of specified direction. He prepared 7 doctors and 35 candidates of sciences, 6 of them – to other countries. Head of the Specialized Scientific Council D26.002.19 NTUU “KPI” and member of the Specialized Council of the Institute of Electrodynamics of NAS of Ukraine. The head of the permanent scientific seminar NAS of Ukraine “Semiconductor converters in industrial electronics devices,” Chairman educational and methodical commission of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine in the direction of “Electronics”. Professor V. Zhuikov cooperates with foreign universities. Lectured in China, Poland, Sweden and Bulgaria. Scientific monographs published in the United States, Slovakia and electronically in Poland. Member of the IEEE.
